The sky is blue, and the sun is winking down on us here in beautiful Birmingham, the crisp packets are frolicking in the breeze, and even the concrete looks a little less grey than usual.
We've been as productive as ever, recording yet more new classics, whilst almost simultaneously arranging and writing even newer classics.
We will be debuting some of these songs over the next few weeks, with that strange mixture of dread and curiosity that comes when we play a new song for the first time. We'd hope that the dread isn't exhibited by our audiences, or that if it is, they are at least polite enough to keep it concealed.
So far the reactions to the new material have been very encouraging, which just goes to show what a well-mannered bunch of sinners you all are!
As you can see from our gig listings, we're going to be sailing our way across the Midlands for the next few weeks (providing the Black Beauty makes it through her MOT intact!). Don't miss out.

Last night witnessed the culmination of our little love affair with the Water Rats Theatre Bar in Kings Cross, and believe me it was spectacular. You should have seen it: can-can girls, dancing bears, a kangaroo orchestra... at least there were in Mark's fevered imagination anyway. Real things that actually happened included the extensive flooding of the toilets which was pretty nasty, Al taking an embarrasing tumble onstage during the intro to Highness, and having to be rescued Spinal Tap-style by a large man named Paul, and an otherwise informative performance of our material by us which was very well received by some cheery Cockney types.
Oh, and Jarv turned 48 and we wished him many happy returns.
