Wednesday the 29th of August

We said your votes would count, didn't we? Well, they did, and hence this coming Saturday the 1st of September, we will be wending our way northwards, to the Leadmill in Sheffield, to be precise.

Our performance there will be filmed for that Channel4"MobileAct" programme mentioned below

Thanks to everyone who went to the trouble of navigating their torturously labyrinthine site in order to vote for us - your votes really did count!

Sinners aged over 18 can come to the filming for free, to see us and indeed to watch the other bands' hopes dashed against the rocks of...well, our rock.
To book your free ticket, you need to go here and click on the Union jack. If you're a northern sinner who can't make Sheffield, worry not, we're coming to Leeds on September the 17th too!

For the Brum-based faithful, we're playing an all-ages show at Mob Monday, this coming Monday (the 3rd) in Stirchley, the somewhat garish flyer for which looks like this:

It's time to vote! Not in a general election, but in a far more meaningful arena, where every vote really will count. In order for us to appear on Channel4's new show, featuring the mighty talents of Jo Whiley and Alex Zane, we need to be prove our immense popularity, by asking people to register and vote for us. Remember that you can vote once a day until voting closes a week from today, so don't forget to visit every day and vote!

No doubt the more sport-minded readers of this news page (if there are indeed any readers) will be aware of the great importance of this coming Saturday. But in case you didn't know, the 11th of August 2007 marks the start of the new Pheasant season! In order to build up the hype to astronomical proportions, we have created a full and unbiased account of all the agony and ecstasy of last year's World Championship which may be found via the menu or by clicking this:

There are those who believe that this should have been made available before now, some might even say it's overdue by a year or so but don't let that worry you. Rest assured the IT department has been heavily punished for taking so long and their Wii has been confiscated indefinitely.

Well one thing's for sure, last week happened. Exactly why it happened is anybody's guess, although we now know how it happened thanks to the remarkable genius of Turley. I cannot recommend clicking this suitcase highly enough:
